Ms Bezborodova is a known Russian sculptor multi-faceted talents. Her works are diverse in genre and character. The sculptor has expressed itself in the entire spectrum of plastic art, from elegant miniatures, portraits, topography, animals, to complex monumental and symbolic works. The basis of Ms Bezborodova’s creativity is a wonderful spirituality of the images she performes.
Ms Bezborodova is an Honored Artist of Russia (2009), Honored Worker of Culture of Moscow Region (2004), a member of the Artists` Union of Russia since 1989, the Chairman of the «Union of Artists Moscow», since its inception in July 2006 to May 2008.
Elena was born in 1962 in Moscow, graduated MSHSH in 1980, then graduated Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov in 1986. Since 1983, she participated in more than 70 art exhibitions: all-Union, all-Russian, republican, regional, provincial, foreign, international and personal.
Among the exhibitions in recent years you need to allocate such as «Golden Ring», 2003,the Russian Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow; exhibition and forum «The cultural reality of Moscow Region», 2005 and 2008, Moscow; the first International exhibition of orthodox art «Light of the World», 2007, Central exhibition hall «Manege», Moscow; «Artists of the Moscow Region for Days of Slavic Literature and Culture», 2007, Khimki and Shchelkovo of the Moscow region; «X Regional Exhibition of the Artists of the Central Areas of Russia»,2008, Yaroslavl . Elena Bezborodova`s exhibitions took place in 2003 in Russian Centers of Vienna and Budapest and had there a great success, as well as the exhibition held the Central House of Artists in Moscow in 2005. A kind of summary of the artist’s works was a personal spiritual and patriotic exhibition «I Turned into White Cranes», which took place from April to September 2008 in the Lenin-Snegirevsky Military and Historical Museum.
In 2004, the Russian state presented as a gift to the famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, 3000 books and sculpture «Anna Pavlova» by Elena Bezborodova, who was personally invited to Alexandria for this commemorative event.
In 2000, by the initiative of the Charity Fund «Consul» Ms Bezborodova created sculpture «Special Mission Units of Russia», which was donated to the power ministries and departments, as well as was given to prominent political and public figures: Rushailo V.B., Kulikov A.S ., Budantsev E.V., Gryzlov B.V., Nurgaliev R.G., Romodanovsky S.C., Luzhkov Y.M., Kuzmin A.V., Kulikov V.G., Chekalin A.A., Klintsevich F.A., Osipov A.B., Suhodolsky M.I. The sculpture has become a symbol of the special mission units of Russia, their image at a public coin «Special Mission Units of Russia», as well as the memorable sign «Participant of the ceremonial reception in the Kremlin in honor of the special mission units of the federal authorities of the Russian Federation».
In 2006, Ms Bezborodova has created the grand prize, a symbol of the International Exhibition of the Orthodox art «Light of the World», the sculpture «Evangelist Luke». In July 2007, this sculpture was presented to His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II, on the occasion of the arrival the sacred relics of the apostle and evangelist Luke to Moscow.
On the initiative of the International Christian Foundation of the Right Hand of St. John the Baptist in 2006, Ms Bezborodova created the sculpture «John the Baptist», the project of the future monument in the new temple complex in the old Montenegrin capital of Cetinje.
In 2005, Ms Bezborodova established the project of the monument to the soldiers saved Moscow in 1941, «Turned into White Cranes», which was warmly endorsed by the governor of Moscow region Boris Gromov.
In 1995, in the Moscow church of ‛Vozdvizheniya chestnago i Zhivotvoryaschego Kresta‛ found ‛Crucifixion to the upcoming‛ created by Elena Bezborodova was placed, which subsequently twice chrism donated. With regard to these landmark events a letter to His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II was sent, and received the answer: «Seen as the Mercy of God».
Elena Bezborodova is the author of 25 monumental and decorative pieces, installed in Moscow and other Russian cities. Among them are the memorial plaque to the film director Larisa Shepitko in Moscow; fountain «Cranes» in Manor House «Pokrovskoe-Glebovo» in Moscow; fountains «George the Winner», «Phoenix», «Bacchus», «Adonis» and bas-reliefs «Spring», «Demeter» in the main office of «Vozrojdenie» Bank in Moscow; «The Bird Sirin» in Luhovitsky area in the Moscow region, bas-relief portraits crew V. Chkalov and M. Gromov to the monument at the airport «Chkalovsky» in the Moscow region; memorial plaque «B. L. Gaysenok», in the building of business center of cargo port Sheremetyevo II; sculpture «Archers» in Ulan-Ude, bas-relief «Wisdom, Maturity, Science» in Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute.
Works by Elena Bezborodova are placed in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt, in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Gora, in the Moscow`s Museum of History, in the Moscow State Museum of Biological, in Domodedovo Historical and Art Museum, in the funds the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Department of exhibitions of Union of Artists of Russia, as well as in private and corporate collections in Russia, Germany, France, the USA, Italy, Austria and Hungary.
Elena Bezborodova`s works repeatedly reported in the press, on radio and shown on television. She was awarded the Medal of 850 anniversary of Moscow, the Russian Academy of Arts diploma, diploma of the active member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Arts; diploma of Academy issues of security, defense and law enforcement; the medal «The laureate of All-Russian Exhibition Centre; the badge «Special Mission Units of Russia»; the diploma of the exhibition and forum «The cultural reality of Moscow region»; the diploma of the pavilion «Culture» of All-Russia Exhibition Centre; letter of commendation of the Administration of Khimki, letter of commendation of the international exhibition of Orthodox art «Light to the World».
